Congratulations to Mikayla Eddins on her acceptance to the basketball team at Sam Houston State for the 2022-2023 season! Mikayla’s hard work and dedication has paid off, and she is now set to take her talents to the next level.
Mikayla, a 5-10 guard/forward from Plano, Texas, began her college career at Little Rock where she played in 16 games during her freshman season. Despite limited playing time, she was able to average 1.4 points and 1.2 rebounds in 5.4 minutes per game. She pulled in a season-high 5 boards in 20 minutes of work against Oral Roberts and had a season-high 6 points in a win over Champion Christian.
Before joining the Little Rock Trojans, Mikayla had an impressive high school career at Plano High School. She was a first team all-district selection her junior season, averaging 8.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Her outstanding performances earned her district MVP honors and all-district honors.
Mikayla’s height and versatility as both a guard and forward, along with her impressive statistics at both the high school and college level, make her a valuable asset to the Sam Houston State Bearkats. We are excited to see what she will accomplish on the court as she continues to develop as a player and a leader.
We at 3D Prospects are extremely proud of Mikayla and wish her all the best as she takes this next step in her basketball journey. We know she will make the most of this opportunity and make a huge impact on the Bearkats’ program. Keep reaching for the stars, Mikayla!
